‘Medicaid Fraud Dogg’: First New Parliament Album Since 1980 is Here (Audio)
It has been an unbelievable 38 years since Parliament, also known as the “P” in P-Funk, have come out with a proper studio release. But the funk drought is now over, and Parliament is back with a new album, the irresistibly titled Medicaid Fraud Dogg.
Medicaid Fraud Dogg drops around the same time as news of P-funk maestro George Clinton is retiring from touring, so it’s possible that this will be GC’s last release in a while. And as with his last Funkadelic album, George appears to be making up for lost time: The album clocks in at an afternoon-destroying one hour and 47 minutes.
We already got our first glimpse of this feature-length Medicaid Fraud Dogg back in January, but now we have the whole thing, and you can get it from all the usual platforms, including Spotify below. But as I mentioned before, you may want to clear out a couple hours in order to really appreciate the music.
