BlacKkKlansman

Spike Lee is one of the greatest filmmakers of all time, and any time he actually marshals the resources to make an actual feature film rather than a one-man show, filmed stage production, or music video, it’s extra good news. He appears to have done that and then some for BlacKkKlansman, a trailer for which is now on the internet.

BlacKkKlansman is about a pair of Colorado Springs cops, one black, one white, who use their combined talents to infiltrate the KKK. It’s based on the autobiography written by one of those cops, Ron Stallworth, and it’s produced by Get Out‘s Jordan Peele. According to the studio’s publicity spiel, “Spike Lee uses his trademark take-no-prisoner style and humor to tell this story often missing from the history books.” Nice!

Take a look at the trailer for BlacKkKlansman below. The film comes out on August 10th, 2018, so stay tuned.
