Budweiser Freedom Reserve Red Lager Made from Washington’s Recipe
In 1757, George Washington made what may still prove to be his most enduring contribution to human society: A recipe for beer tucked away in a journal entry. Now, that recipe is being used to create Budweiser Freedom Reserve Red Lager, crafted by veterans of both the American military and Bud. Here’s how Bud describes the patriotic brew:
“The Freedom Reserve is a specialty red lager brewed with toasted barley grains for a slightly sweet aroma with a touch of hops, a rich caramel malt taste, and a smooth finish with a hint of molasses.”
Budweiser Freedom Reserve Red Lager will let freedom ring on grocery store shelves sometime later this month, and Budweiser is donating part of the proceeds from sales of the limited edition brew to veterans’ charity Folds of Honor. In the meantime, if you want you can get more information from the official Budweiser site right here.
