Illmatic: Live from the Kennedy Center

Four years ago, rapper Nas performed his classic record Illmatic at the Kennedy Center in New York to celebrate the album’s 20th anniversary. It’s taken a while, but now Illmatic: Live from the Kennedy Center is getting a special edition vinyl release, as well as a free SoundCloud stream from Mass Appeal Records.

Illmatic: Live from the Kennedy Center dropped to record stores on Record Store Day over the weekend, with plenty of special features:

“Gold embossed gatefold jacket with 2XLP heavyweight vinyl in gold embossed euro sleeves, plus 24×36” 2-sided poster, booklet with exclusive photos, and download card.”

Listed as “an exclusive vinyl release for Record Store Day 2018,” Illmatic: Live from the Kennedy Center is nevertheless still available as this writing from the Mass Appeal online store here, where copies are priced at a little bit under $33.
