“I’m Gon Make U Sick O’Me”: Parliament Releases New Single (Audio)
‘Voldemort: Origins of the Heir’ Unofficial Fan Film Available Now (Video)
Back in the 1970s, The Exorcist was busting box office records, and a director named William Girdler was assigned to make what was basically a “black Exorcist.” The result was a movie called Abby, a masterpiece of blaxploitation that was crushed by Warner Bros., who said it was too close to The Exorcist to be legally allowed and they promptly had virtually every print of the film destroyed. I bring it up because it appears that the WB legal department has lightened up quite a bit since then, with the release of an “unofficial fan film” entitled Voldemort: Origins of the Heir.
Voldemort: Origins of the Heir centers on a new character called Grisha McLaggen, descendant of Godric Gryffindor, and focal point for a series of flashbacks outlining Voldemort’s early days at Hogwarts or whatever. It’s 52 minutes long, though, so make sure you’ve got plenty of time to enjoy it if you are so inclined:
Abby, on the other hand, is still not available to be legally seen anywhere. For more from Tryangle Films, check them out on YouTube right here.
