‘The Darkest Shore': New ‘Call of Duty: WWII’ DLC Pack Has Nazi Zombies (Trailer)
This is just a guess, but it seems likely that we’re going to be seeing a lot of Nazi zombies in the near future – hopefully mostly of the fictional variety. The latest example of the trope in action is The Darkest Shore, an upcoming new DLC pack for Call of Duty: WWII that features, yep, undead Nazis.
The trailer for The Darkest Shore focuses on the variant’s story mode, which will allow players to do battle with legions of undead Nazis awakened by Call of Duty baddie Doktor Straub, who is voiced by German acting legend Udo Kier – reason enough for anyone to be interested in the game, even those who don’t normally play video games. Here’s the official plot description, courtesy of Activision:
“The Darkest Shore follows our heroes into the next chapter of their dangerous journey. Only days after the horrific disaster of Mittelburg, the crew has received intel that suggests Doktor Straub is on an island just north of Germany. Blanketed in fog, this island is surrounded by Nazi air and sea power–and crawling with the Undead. Marie, Drostan, Olivia, and Jefferson will need to battle all this and more to uncover the mysteries hidden within the Darkest Shore.”

The Darkest Shore will be available for PS4 users on January 30th, with a wider release after that at the end of February.
