‘Between Night and Dawn’: New Box Set of George Romero’s Lesser Known Films

Between Night and Dawn

When George A. Romero passed away earlier this year, he left behind an impressive body of work, even though it was mostly Night of the Living Dead and its five quasi-sequels that got – and will continue to get – the most ink. The least known portion of his career might be the space in between that film and its first sequel, and it’s that space that is the subject of a new Arrow Films box set entitled Between Night and Dawn.

George A. Romero made four features in between Night of the Living Dead and Dawn of the Dead, but unfortunately Martin, probably the best of the bunch, isn’t included. But we do have the low budget romantic comedy There’s Always Vanilla, occult sex drama Season of the Witch, and The Crazies, a movie very similar in spirit, tone, and content to his more famous zombie films.

There’s also a wide array of bonus included in Between Night and Dawn, which you can read about in depth right here. And the box set is available from select retailers now.
