The Star Wars: A New Hope Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

It’s one of the most famous and beloved film scores of all time: John Williams‘ classical, old-fashioned score for the 1977 film Star Wars (perhaps you’ve heard of it, etc etc). Now, Star Wars: A New Hope Original Motion Picture Soundtrack is getting a deluxe reissue for its 40th anniversary.

The Star Wars: A New Hope Original Motion Picture Soundtrack offers fans the soundtrack that could very well be responsible for the movie’s phenomenal success on three LPs, each one hand-etched by Tristan Duke with a 3D hologram effect on the surface of the discs. There’s also a 48-page book to round out the edition, and perhaps the most exciting news about the release is that it is the first of a planned series of deluxe reissues of Williams’ Star Wars soundtracks, with more to come starting in 2018.

The set reportedly coming to a galaxy near you on December 1st, so keep your eyes (and ears) out for this impressive box set.
