Organic Coup

Organic Coup, a fast food chicken chain originating in San Francisco and distinguished as the first in the country to have USDA organic certification (meaning at least 95 percent of the ingredients used for its menu are certified organic), has reportedly achieved a, well, an organic coup, with an investment by the San Francisco 49ers.

The precise terms of the investment aren’t known as yet, but presumably the deal means that there will be at least one Organic Coup location at the 49ers’ Levi’s Stadium, where customers will be able to get healthier organic variants on popular standbys like the chicken sandwich, chicken tenders, fast food breakfast items, and more.

Right now, Organic Coup’s locations are mostly concentrated in San Francisco and other parts of the West Coast, but perhaps the partnership with the 49ers will mean greater expansion, and it’s even more likely that the organic fast food trend will continue to grow. Stay tuned.
