‘Phantom Thread’: Daniel Day-Lewis’ Final Pre-Retirement Feature Film (Trailer)
Daniel Day-Lewis is retiring from his acting schedule of one feature film every five years in order to focus on other things, but before he leaves the movie business forever he’s pulling one last job with his There Will Be Blood director Paul Thomas Anderson. It’s called Phantom Thread, a trailer for which rocked cineaste corners of the internet today.
DDL plays Reynolds Woodcock, a British fashion designer who experiences the perils of fame and fortune. But honestly, this is PTA we’re talking about, so there’s no real way to know what Phantom Thread will actually be about short of watching the movie itself. Still, though, this is a pretty good trailer, and you can check it out for yourself below:
For my part, I will watch literally any movie with the word “phantom” in the title, so I will be taking in Phantom Thread at my earliest convenience. For more, you can take a look at the movie’s official site right here.
