Taco Bell Chicken and Biscuits Being Tested in Indiana
McVegan Meat-Free Hamburger Being Tested by McDonald’s
Good news for vegans who still feel an insatiable craving for McDonald’s fries from time to time: You may soon be able to get a burger with that, which I think is probably more nutritionally sound than just eating a giant pile of French fries. It’s the McVegan, now being tested in Tampere, Finland.
A single McDonald’s location in Finland is the only place where you can get a McVegan for now, but let’s be honest – it’s only a matter of time before this or something like it gets rolled out on the official Mickey D’s menu. It’s basically a standard McDonald’s hamburger, but with a soybean steak patty and vegan “McFeast sauce” (must be a European thing), along with the usual tomato, lettuce and pickles.
Read up on the McVegan right here. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to workshop a “Timothy McVegan” joke that I think will probably get me a job on Family Guy.
