I had somehow forgotten this, but a year ago this month we told you about the Krispy Kreme Reese’s Peanut Butter Doughnut making its debut in Australia. Fate rewards the patient in this world, and now this doughnut/chocolate/peanut butter/pastry hybrid is making its way to the United States.
The American Krispy Kreme Reese’s Peanut Butter Doughnut appears to be more or less identical to the original Australian joint, but in case you need a refresher on what exactly goes into such a confection here’s the recipe direct from the double-K:
“The REESE’S® Peanut Butter Doughnut is filled with a REESE’S® Peanut Butter Kreme™, dipped in milk chocolate icing, topped with a REESE’S® Peanut Butter Chip and chopped peanut blend, and finished with a drizzle of chocolate and peanut butter.”
