‘Super Mario Bros.’ Augmented Reality Game (Video)
If the future really is going to be an augmented reality nightmare, the very least we can hope for is that we get to smash some Goombas in the bargain. A developer by the name of Abhishek Singh has given us a look at that possibility, by creating a Super Mario Bros. augmented reality game replicating the original‘s iconic first level.
The Super Mario Bros. augmented reality game is a first-person version of the golden age Nintendo classic, so instead of jumping over pipes you can just walk around them. But it’s still immediately recognizable even in demo form, and hopefully the right folks at Nintendo will see the potential in such an idea (if they haven’t already).
