“Everything Now”: New Arcade Fire Single and Video Drops (Video)
Arcade Fire is whipping up another album and tour, and it appears to be some kind of multimedia promotional effort that I don’t have the mental energy to unpack right now. But the band has gone the traditional route in at least one way, with the release of a new single entitled “Everything Now,” and an accompanying video.
Thomas Bangalter of Daft Punk is one of the producers on “Everything Now,” but the sound seems to owe more to late-period Talking Heads. The same lack of mental energy keeping me from delving into Arcade Fire’s “Infinite Content” project is also stopping me from analyzing this new song any further than that, though, so you might as well just give it a listen and/or a look on your own below:
“Everything Now” happens to be the title track off the band’s upcoming new album, which is set to drop on July 28th. You can pre-order the record on a variety of formats right here.
