‘Playboy VR': Tour the World’s Most Famous Mansion via Virtual Reality
‘The Little Hours': Aubrey Plaza, Kate Micucci, and More Play Filthy-Mouthed Medieval Nuns (Trailer)
No matter how many times the well is drawn from, I must admit I never really get tired of the trope of historical characters talking and acting like modern-day people in film comedies. The latest example of this storied subgenre is The Little Hours, a trailer for which is currently buzzing all over the internet.
The Little Hours is nominally based on a story from The Decameron, an Italian text from the 14th century. I’m not really up on my Boccaccio, so I can’t say how faithful an adaptation it looks to be, but I do know that he never would have dreamed of casting Fred Armisen in a movie based on his work.
Another thing Boccaccio never dreamed of was being able to watch trailers in the comfort of his own home, but you can do just that by watching the trailer for The Little Hours below. The film, with its cast completely stacked with comedy stars, comes to theaters on June 30th, 2017.
