Analemma Tower

The Clouds Architecture Office has recently revealed a project that, admittedly, seems pretty crazy now—but remember, the Ferris Wheel seemed crazy when it was first announced, too. It’s a “suspended skyscraper” known as the Analemma Tower, a luxury residential complex which will orbit the Earth attached to an asteroid in geostationary orbit.

There seem to be a few, uh, obstacles in between Analemma Tower as a cool concept and reality. Like finding (or placing) an asteroid in the proper position far above the Earth in order to allow the tower to pass over myriad nations every 24 hours. Speaking of those nations, are they all going to be cool with a giant future skyscraper floating above their airspace? Oh well, I’m sure they’ll figure it out.

For now, though, you can watch the very cool concept video for the Analemma Tower project below. And for more from Clouds AO, hit up their official site here.
