Who Framed Roger Rabbit - The 3 Rules of Living Animation

Last night the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences awarded the best of the best in 2016 cinema, but for my money the most important movie came out almost 30 years ago: Who Framed Roger Rabbit. So it’s nice that YouTube’s famed video essayist Kristian Williams was on hand to illustrate just how difficult it was to make this masterpiece happen, with Who Framed Roger Rabbit – The 3 Rules of Living Animation.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit – The 3 Rules of Living Animation gives you a quick primer on the history of cinematic animation, and the ways it was blended with live-action before Roger came along (this happened a lot earlier than you probably think, as it turns out). Then it goes in depth on the frankly unbelievable level of work that went into making the movie such an unparalleled technical marvel.

No matter how much you love this movie, you will love it more after you see this:
