‘Song to Song': Upcoming Terry Malick Film Gets Trailer (Video)
‘Hot Wheels Nightmare’ Shows a Hot Wheels Car’s POV (Video)
Camera technology has finally advanced to the point of being able to capture what it would actually feel like to sit behind the wheel of a Hot Wheels car as it races along its track. But for 5MadMovieMakers, the YouTube channel behind Hot Wheels Nightmare, that wasn’t quite enough, so they added some extra visual components to make it even more exciting.
Those visual components are, put simply, darkness, bright neon lights—or at least glow sticks—and even some fire. Here’s the breakdown on the materials utilized to make Hot Wheels Nightmare:
“Filmed with a Sony VG30H and a GoPro Hero Session 4 mounted on a Bull Whip car. Built with Hot Wheels track, unit blocks, Tinkertoys, lighter fluid, kerosene, lamp wicks, wire, rain gutters, plastic garden edging, LED lights, and lasers.”
With all that work going into Hot Wheels Nightmare, the least you can do is take a look at the video—just over two and a half minutes long—below. And for more from 5MMM, check them out on YouTube right here.
