Steve McQueen in Le Mans

Comic books get adapted into movies these days at the rate of about one per week, but sometimes the process goes the other way like it did in the old days. One such occasion is a celebration of movie legend Steve McQueen‘s most iconic movies—Le Mans, the inspiration for the new comic book, Steve McQueen in Le Mans, from Garbo Studio.

Steve McQueen in Le Mans was also produced in conjunction with Greenlight (which controls rights to McQueen’s likeness) and ACO (likewise for the 24 Hours of Le Mans race). It reinterprets the events of the film in gorgeous sequential art, with a special emphasis on the cars—since this is a project built to appeal to car buffs as well as movie fans.

You can order your copy of Steve McQueen in Le Mans (or, if you’re looking to score it for free, you can also add it to a shareable “wish list” for particularly impressionable friends and loved ones) at the book’s official site right here.
