KNASA: The Chef’s Knife Inspired by NASA
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration, I’m sad to say, isn’t what it used to be. Fifty years ago it held the eyes of the world as it raced against Russia to make it to the moon, not out of any practical necessity but in the name of scientific exploration. Those days are over, but now at least we have KNASA, a pretty good chef’s knife made with technologies developed at NASA.
The KNASA chef’s knife is sleek and sharp, like you’d expect a space-age knife to be. But its blade is also made out of a newly developed metal alloy created by the people at NASA that’s reportedly twice as strong as titanium. This knife is sharp enough to cut through, uh, moon cheese? I dunno, pick a metaphor that works for you and go with it.
Or, you could just head over to the KNASA’s Kickstarter listing here, which as of this writing still has a few hours left to go, and where you can pre-order one of these miracle space knives starting at $79 and up. It’s one small step for knife, one giant leap … for knifekind.
