SpaceX Interplanetary Transport System: Go to Mars for About $200,000 (Video)
With the two most hated presidential candidates in history running for office, there is an unprecedented number of people threatening to move away from the United States after the election. But SpaceX, the private space exploration company founded by Elon Musk, is offering you an even more decisive option—with the SpaceX Interplanetary Transport System, you’ll be able to go to Mars.
Of course, the SpaceX Interplanetary Transport System is a long way off, and Musk doesn’t expect to get any passengers on their way to Mars by 2022, so we will have already gone through another presidential election by then. Oh, and the technology required to actually make the trip in a timely and affordable fashion hasn’t been developed yet. Oh, and you might die. But other than that, it sounds great, and Musk hopes to get tickets down to $200,000 by the time trips to Mars become more commonplace.
You can get a much rosier view of what the SpaceX Interplanetary Transport System has to offer in the promotional video below. And for more information on the project as well as other cool SpaceX stuff, just head over to the company’s official site right here.
