Mark II Everlasting Mechanical Pencil
Mechanical pencils are considered a basic upgrade over the standard pencil by many, but they can still break down over time, particularly when they’re made out of cheap plastic as they so often are. Enter Nicholas Hemingway, who brought new life to the mechanical pencil game with the Mark I, and is now back with the Mark II Everlasting Mechanical Pencil that’s even better.
Each Mark II Everlasting Mechanical Pencil is made by hand, imbued with a sentimental significance as the lathe used to make them was given to Hemingway by his late grandfather. But perhaps more importantly from a mechanical standpoint, the Mark II is even sleeker than the Mark I, a design improvement that leaves little room for any imagined improvements (we’ll see if there’s a Mark III next year).
