KFC Extra Crispy Sunscreen (Video)
KFC‘s increasingly bizarre advertising campaign has reached delirious new heights/lows with the unveiling of KFC Extra Crispy Sunscreen, a product they insist is both real and inedible. And to make things even better/worse, they’ve enlisted yet another celebrity to embody Colonel Sanders for this particular promotion: Famous tan man George Hamilton.
KFC Extra Crispy Sunscreen will not only protect your skin from the sun’s harmful UV rays, but also make you smell like fried chicken (there’s a Birdman joke here, but I’ll let you make it yourself). And this isn’t just a gag for a commercial. KFC is giving away 3,000 bottles of the stuff for free, after which it will probably become a nostalgic collectors’ item in a few years’ time.
Well, they were anyway, before they all got grabbed up by kitsch-loving sunblock enthusiasts. But even if you weren’t able to acquire a bottle of KFC Extra Crispy Sunscreen, you can check out the ad for yourself below, as well as the product’s designated website right here.
