Paper Composite Bottle Opener: Made Out of Paper, Still Works
I probably don’t have to tell you that bottle openers are usually made out of metal, so as to be strong enough to pry also-usually-metal caps from bottles containing soda or beer. But you may not be aware that technology is now sufficiently advanced to create a bottle opener made from, believe it or not, paper. It’s the Paper Composite Bottle Opener from Richlite.
The Richlite Paper Composite Bottle Opener is a novel and eco-conscious alternative to the usual metal bottle opener, and one that’s said to feel comparable to wood (think the gun John Malkovich makes to kill the President in In the Line of Fire). It’s also two-sided, which in a traditional bottle opener would be a pretty cool feature but here tends to be overshadowed by its unusual material.
You can purchase your own Paper Composite Bottle Opener right here, where it’s priced at a nickel under $25.
