RFK Mural Festival

Street art has come a long way towards being seen as a legitimate mode of expression, but its inherently fluid properties makes permanent exhibitions difficult. So it’s especially cool that Branded Arts has teamed up with an army of street artists including Shepard Fairey, Kenny Scharf, Jeff Soto, Hueman, Cyrcle, Sam Flores, and others, for the RFK Mural Festival.

Don’t let the word “festival” throw you. The RFK Mural Festival is “the largest open air street art museum west of the Mississippi,” and all the works found within it are meant to be permanent. It’s sharing space with Los Angeles’ Robert F. Kennedy Community School, but it’s open to the public, as long as you behave yourself on school property.

The grand opening gala was last month, but you can get more information on the RFK Mural Festival and more Branded Arts projects at the organization’s official page on Facebook right here.
