Don Draper's 1964 Imperial Crown Convertible

Don Draper: Women want to be with him, men want to drive like him. Women probably wouldn’t mind driving like him, too, and since we’re being inclusive, there are probably a few men out there who want to be with him.  The point is, even though you’ll never get to be with Don Draper (in any sense) because he’s a fictional character, you can drive like him now that Don Draper’s 1964 Imperial Crown Convertible is going up for auction in a few days.

The fact is, Don Draper’s 1964 Imperial Crown Convertible would still be a worthwhile item even if Don never laid a finger on it, since there aren’t even 200 of the models still around today. But because this particular 1964 Imperial Crown Convertible was seen in the third episode of the fourth season of Mad Men, there’s no telling how much it will go for once the bidding starts on the first of June.

You can check out the auction listing for Don Draper’s 1964 Imperial Crown Convertible ahead of time here, and get some details on its current condition (spoiler alert: Almost everything in the car is in its original form, save for a relatively young 20-year-old paint job, some new carpeting, and an automatic transmission) and stay tuned for when the bidding starts next month.
