‘Kingspray’: Virtual Reality Graffiti Simulator (Video)
If you want to enjoy the thrill of graffiti without the hassle of making a noticeable impact on your community or striking a blow against oppressive advertising, there’s now a virtual reality “graffiti simulator” that lets you do just that. It’s called Kingspray (as in “king spray,” not “kings pray,” or at least that’s what I hope).
Kingspray lets you use a variety of stencils, paints, and cutouts to your heart’s desire, and you don’t have to worry about any Tipper Gore types calling it an eyesore, since it all takes place within the virtual reality of the simulator. You can share your creations with fellow Kingsprayers, and there’s an in-game radio for appropriate music accompaniment to your fake tagging.
More on Kingspray can be found at its official site here. It’s currently available for Mac and PC, but the proper VR version hits the SteamVR platform sometime next week. In the meantime, see how it works in the video below.
