Flyboard Air

The year 2016 is shaping up to be a pretty frightening time, but one cool thing about living in the 21st century is all the cool new records being set and broken thanks to advances in technology. Like, for instance, hoverboarding, which recently reached a new frontier courtesy of Franky Zapata and his new invention, the Flyboard Air.

The Flyboard Air is an extremely cool two-footed hoverboard that looks like nothing more than it resembles the Green Goblin’s Goblin Glider. But unlike that dastardly conveyance, this has actually been patented by Zapata, who reportedly hopes to have a working model available to the public soon. As for the record-breaking flight itself, it measures 2,252.4 meters (a little under a mile and a half), and you can see it all in the video below:

For now, you can check out the Flyboard Air at Franky Zapata’s official site for the product right here. Hopefully for the sake of public safety, pumpkin bombs will remain firmly in the realm of fiction.
