‘Star Wars’ Lamps: An April Fool’s Day Joke by Eyal Rosenthal (Pics)

It’s been very close to a month since April Fool’s Day, 2016, which means it’s been long enough to appreciate the rare goof that actually has some potential staying power. Designer Eyal Rosenthal provided just such a prank with his line of completely imaginary Star Wars lamps that you might soon wish you could hang in your own home.

The joke behind these Star Wars lamps was that the famous characters and props from Star Wars were actually inspired by an obscure collection of Swedish lighting fixtures. It’s a funny joke, but more importantly than that the lamps in question actually look extremely cool, especially if you’re a fan of the Star Wars universe – which, judging by the response the lamps have gotten online, a lot of people on the internet are (go figure).
