360 Google Spotlight Story: HELP

Google has a new series that exemplifies the new trend towards interactive 360-degree video. It’s called Spotlight Stories, and one of the installments getting the most attention comes courtesy of director Justin Lin, who you may know from the Fast & Furious franchise among other things. It’s 360 Google Spotlight Story: HELP.

360 Google Spotlight Story: HELP depicts a deadly meteor shower in Los Angeles. But meteors are the least of your worries as you navigate this story, since this shower has brought with it an alien monster that’s rampaging through the city’s Chinatown district—probably the worst thing to hit Chinatown since Noah Cross.

You can watch/experience 360 Google Spotlight Story: HELP for yourself below even if you don’t have a virtual reality rig to appreciate it fully. And to see future installments of Google Spotlight Stories and more, you can check out the project’s official site right here.
