‘Pyramid House’ From Juan Carlos Ramos (Pics)

Architect Juan Carlos Ramos’ latest project (conceived for a design competition) is like something out of some Afrofuturist Egypt, appropriately titled Pyramid House.

The titular shape of Pyramid House is really only the surface of what makes it tick. It’s divided into multiple tears just like the pyramids of old, but more accommodating to the living than the dead.  There’s a library, kitchen, two bedrooms, and even a garage tucked away in the structure in order to maximize the available space below. One of the walls of the house is covered (or perhaps I should say “uncovered”) by a full triangular window, making privacy something you seek out in other parts of the pyramid.

For now, Pyramid House is just a series of 1’s and 0’s that you can see in the gallery below, but perhaps if Ramos’ prospects for the contest are good, it or something like it could be constructed in the real world. For more, take a look at his official site right here.
