Skyslide: Proposed Glass Slide 1,000 Feet in the Air

Skyslide

Slides are generally thought of as being benign, innocuous amusement for very young children, but every once in a while a project comes around that blows apart your preconceived notions about a certain form. Enter the Skyslide, part of OUE Skyspace LA, which will have the highest open-air observation deck in the state of California when it opens later this year.

OUE Skyspace LA has a lot of cool attractions, but the one that’s sure to get the most attention is the Skyslide. That’s because not only will the slide be 1,000 feet up in the air alongside the 70th and down to the 69th floor of the US Bank Tower skyscraper, but it’s also made entirely out of transparent glass, meaning sliders will be able to look down and see all the way to the ground floor (and, possibly, the former contents of their stomachs).

The Skyslide will be part of the OUE Skyspace LA experience when it opens later this year, and $25 tickets go on sale on March 18th. For more info, head to the Skyspace’s official site right here.
