‘Photos by Spike’ From Spike Jonze and Opening Ceremony (Video)
Spike Jonze, despite his reputation as a feature film director, music video director, and novelty bandleader-name-stealer, actually started his artistic career as a photographer. Now, a lot of his previously-unreleased photographs taken on 35mm film are being used as part of a collaboration between Jonze and Opening Ceremony called Photos by Spike.
Photos by Spike is a personally curated collection of photos that have been digitally reproduced and seamlessly integrated into Opening Ceremony‘s fall/winter 2015 collection. The results were then incorporated into a video featuring both Jonze and Opening Ceremony’s Humberto Leon, and they were also used to inspire the collection itself.
You can watch Photos by Spike and see exactly what it’s all about for yourself below. And for more from Opening Ceremony’s fall/winter 2015 collection and the brand’s ongoing collaboration with Spike Jonze, just head over to the official Opening Ceremony blog right here, where the project is discussed at length in addition to photos and links to buy.
