Invader: Street Artist Invades Paris With 8-Bit Characters (Photos)
If you’ve by chance been wandering the streets of Paris lately, you may have noticed something a bit strange going on – an 8-bit rendering of Bugs Bunny leaning against a wall, or an equally blocky drunken Smurf sleeping off a bender under a bridge. It’s not belated viral marketing for Pixels, either – instead, it’s the work of Parisian street artist Invader.
Invader’s latest invasion of the French capital city is made up of more than 30 different pixel-inspired pieces, featuring a characteristically wide range of characters as well as the Space Invaders aliens that serve as the mysterious artist’s signature.
You can take a look at some of the best pieces from Invader’s Paris invasion in the gallery underneath these words. And for more from the artist, head over to Invader’s official website right here, where you can see his work from 65 different cities across the globe (so far).
