‘Cuphead’: Video Game Inspired by 30s Animation Finally Gets Release Date (Video)
Just about a year ago, we were one of the many sites to express awe and wonder at a trailer for Cuphead at the 2014 Electronic Entertainment Expo, also known as E3. Now, another trailer has dropped for this year’s E3, and it thankfully comes with a firm release date for the game.
In case you missed last year’s trailer, Cuphead is designed to emulate the unmistakable visual style of 1930s animation from studios like Fleischer and Disney. The game features actual hand-drawn animation, which does a little bit to explain how it’s able to capture the look of those old cartoons so exactly.
The Cuphead E3 2015 trailer is as much of a showstopper as last year’s model, if not more so, and you can watch it for yourself below. The game is set to hit the Xbox One sometime next year, and you can get some more info on this and other Xbox showings from this year’s E3 convention right here.
