Shift: Smart-Surface Sneaker Concept With User-Controlled Colors

Imagine if you can, a world where you can change the color blocking of your sneakers with a few swipes on your smartphone. That’s the world envisioned by the people at +rehabstudio, who have unveiledĀ Shift, a concept sneaker that can do that, as well as a lot more.

Shift utilizes a combination of existing and near-future technology to create a sneaker that can assume any color (or combination of colors) that the user desires, as controlled by what would be the accompanying smartphone app. The sneaker’s designers have even conceived a feature which automatically syncs the sneaker’s colors to whatever outfit you’re wearing.

It’s just a concept for now, but the makers of Shift seem confident that it will be a possibility before too long. You can get a lot more information, as well as links to the project’s various social media presences, at its official site right here.
