‘The Skin Book’: Artificial Skin Notebook for Tattoo Art Practice (Video)
As someone generally not enthusiastic about tattoos and body art, I’d never given much thought before to the idea of practice for tattoo artists. But I guess they have to practice somehow, evidently on unlucky animals or pieces of fruit – but tattoo art magazine Tattoo Art Magazine has whipped up a better way in the form of The Skin Book, a creepy notebook made from artificial skin specifically for practice tattoos.
The Skin Book looks like something out of a David Cronenberg film, but it actually serves a valuable purpose for aspiring tattoo artists, giving them a way to practice their craft on a variety of different body parts – in notebook form.
Unfortunately for any such artists reading this now, The Skin Book appears to just be a concept piece from Tattoo Art Magazine for now, but you can get more information on the project at the magazine’s official site here, as well as see it in action in the video below.
