Madame Tussauds Star Wars Experience

Add the famous Madame Tussauds wax museum in London to the list of entities going all-out with Star Wars fever as of late. And no one will be able to accuse the people behind the scenes of half-assing their new Star Wars exhibit, since a new video shows just how hard they worked to bring it to life.

The head of each figure alone in the Madame Tussauds Star Wars experience is made up of between 13 and 17 pieces, plus between 10 and 15 liters of wax. There’s also as many as 10,000 individual hairs, or in the case of Chewbacca, much, much more. All in all, it was an estimated 800-hour job for the museum’s crew of 10 craftspeople, so now you know how long it actually takes to go to a galaxy far, far away.

You can see the behind-the-scenes look at the Madame Tussauds Star Wars exhibit below. And for more on the exhibit, and to plan your trip to London to see it in the wax, just head here to its official site.
