El Fureidis: Tony Montana’s ‘Scarface’ Mansion is for Sale for $35M (Video)
The name “El Fureidis” refers to a mansion in Montecito, California, but it probably isn’t familiar to you unless you’re some kind of architecture buff. Once you look at it, however, it will almost certainly ring familiar, belonging as it once did to gangster Tony Montana in the movie Scarface.
Priced at $34 million, you pretty much have to be involved in some Scarface-level shady activities to afford to live in El Fureidis, but it’s still of interest to Scarface fans (and pop culture enthusiasts in general) when a house as iconic as this enters the marketplace. And Scarface isn’t the only famous touchstone in the mansion’s long history – the estate also served as the source of rare palm trees for Walt Disney when he was designing his California Disneyland theme park. More recently, it was reported to have fallen into the possession of businessman Mark Cuban.
Tony Montana, Walt Disney, Mark Cuban … what famous villain will own El Fureidis next? For that, we’ll just have to wait and see, but for now you can check out a video showcasing the mansion below. And you can also check out the mansion’s real estate listing right here.
