PancakeBot: “The World’s First Pancake Printer”

PancakeBot

“Reginald, be a dear and print me out a short stack.” That sentence might sound like nonsense now, but in the near future it might be a very common phrase, if the makers of the PancakeBot have their way. It’s billed as “the world’s first pancake printer,” and I’ll be damned if that’s not exactly what it appears to be.

PancakeBot boldly frees griddle cakes, flapjacks, and so on from the tyranny of the circle and allows you to print up pancakes in any shape you can dream up. You draw the design on your computer, and as long as it’s not some EC Escher impossible structure, you’ll be eating it in pancake form in minutes.

Like all of the truly great ideas of our time, PancakeBot is a Kickstarter project, raking it in for the next month or so here. There you can place a pre-order for the product, getting yours starting at $180. But remember that after you get one, you’ll be forced to host pancake parties for everyone you know on a regular basis.
