Fans of Saturday Night Live have long been frustrated by the show’s rights holders’ refusal to put out a comprehensive collection of sketches from the show’s long now 40-year run in some form. Now, in time for the show’s big 40th anniversary bash, there’s the SNL App, which gives users an extensive database of sketches, clips, and bonus content spanning the entire history of the show.

The SNL App makes the massive Saturday Night Live sketch library searchable across a variety of channels, like episode, season, host, cast members, and so on. Then there’s the app’s recommendation engine, which shows you sketches you might have missed based on your viewing history.

You can do more than just watch SNL sketches with the app, though, thanks to its exclusive emoji keyboard. And best of all, the SNL App is free at the iTunes Store here, with a version for Android smartphones reportedly coming soon.
