Twitter Group Messages Launched (Video)
One of the most basic aspects of communicating through Twitter is being changed, with the introduction of Twitter group messages. Previously, the site’s direct messaging system only worked between parties of two, but now they’re allowing users to exchange private messages among groups.
What this means for Twitter in the long run remains to be seen, but an effect that might be seen almost immediately will hopefully be the cessation of feed-clogging group tweets about this weekend’s social plans – no one else cares about you and your friends arranging transportation, so why subject all your Twitter followers to it? With Twitter group messages, you’ll no longer have to.
