“Break the Internet”: Kim Kardashian’s ‘Paper’ Cover Inspires Numerous Photoshops (Photos)
They say imitation is the finest form of flattery, but that expression forgets Photoshop, which has to be right up there as far as forms of flattery are concerned. At least, that’s the positive spin I’m choosing to put on the recent phenomenon of Photoshop users making hay out of Kim Kardashian’s already famous Paper magazine cover, “Break the Internet.”
From seemingly all corners of the internet (I guess “Break the Internet” didn’t actually do what it said it would), people have taken Kim Kardashian‘s latest work and made it a reflection of their own obsessions, from the disturbingly similar in texture Krispy Kreme donuts to the just plain disturbing Nicolas Cage.
You can probably see a Kim Kardashian “Break the Internet” Photoshop job just by opening up your Twitter or Facebook account, but I’ve put some of the best ones in the gallery below. And if you missed the original from Paper magazine, you can check out the magazine’s website here.
