Surfing at 1000 Frames Per Second

Surfing has to be one of the most visually compelling sports out there, which is probably why there are so many films and videos made on the activity. But as Dave Chappelle taught us years ago, everything looks cooler in slow motion, which is the idea behind Surfing at 1000 Frames Per Second, a new short film from Chris Bryan Films.

Surfing at 1000 Frames Per Second takes surfers Mark Matthews, Matthew Meola, Jay Davies, Craig Anderson, and more, and gives them the high-speed camera treatment courtesy of new Phantom and Phantom Flex cameras. The hypnotic slow-motion footage will give you a new appreciation for what actually goes on between a surfer and the waves, and makes for a very entertaining six minutes.
