American Sniper

This Christmas, the latest film from director Clint Eastwood and star Bradley Cooper will hit theaters. It’s American Sniper, based on the best-selling memoir by Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, who over the course of his military career became the “Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History.”

In advance of the movie’s Christmas release date, a UK trailer has dropped, and it’s an unusual one. It’s restricted to one setting, with a couple of brief flashbacks, and depicts Cooper’s character Chris Kyle in a high-pressure situation, having to exercise not just his marksmanship but his own judgement in analyzing situations and deciding whether or not to take a shot.

It’s a gripping trailer, and if enough people see it I think American Sniper might just have a shot at turning a profit in a couple months. You can watch it below, and check out the film’s UK website here (the US version doesn’t appear to be up yet).
