Lupe Fiasco Selling Personalized Verses for $500
I don’t know if Lupe Fiasco is broke, trying to raise money for charity, or just trying out something new, but he’s resorted to a business model that few rappers of his stature would ever even consider. According to a recent series of tweets, Fiasco will record a personalized verse to the beat and subject of your choice for just $500:
I will personalize a 1 verse song for you. $500. You pick the instrumental, mood & subject. 1 physical copy which you must come pick up. COD
— Lupe Fiasco (@LupeFiasco) August 21, 2014
Lupe Fiasco later went on to elaborate that his customers have to sign a “usage contract” when they pick up their copy of the track, and the privilege of watching the recording happen costs another $500. Still, for fans of Lupe Fiasco, that would be a pretty unmissable bargain.
For more information, as well as to see some of the fruits of Lupe’s (and his fans’) labors, check out his Twitter account here. And if you’re interested in getting your own personalized track, better save up in a hurry, because we don’t know how long this offer will be on the table.
