There are 24 hours in a day, so why not have 24 hours in a watch? It’s an idea that’s been returned to several times in the history of watchmaking, but perhaps never as elegantly as Botta Design’s new Uno 24.
Over the course of a day, the Uno 24’s single hand (the only hand it needs, naturally) makes one full rotation around the watch. In addition to the novelty of such a system, as well as the inherent stylishness of it, it’s also a good choice if you need to shave an extra second or two off of the time it takes you to see what time it is when you look at your watch.
The Uno 24 also marks the date and the course of the day as simply as it does the time, and it could be a good way to get you interested in watches again. If so, take a look at Botta Design’s website here, where the Uno 24 starts at $460. And you can see some pictures of the watch in the gallery up top.
