In the automotive industry, a method called “prototype camouflage” is used to hide future car designs from curious snoops during the testing process. One aspect of this method is to wrap the car in a distinctive (and pretty cool-looking on its own) camouflage pattern with wild black and white stripes. Someone at adidas must have realized it looks pretty cool too, because the latest RG3 signature sneaker is heavily inspired by the pattern.
It’s called the adidas RG3 Energy Boost “Carmoflauge” (notice the portmanteau in the name?), and in addition to its wild color blocking it also boasts the usual adidas Energy Boost features for high performance. These include adidas Boost tech, a SPRINTWEB upper, a TORSION SYSTEM, and a SPRINTFRAME platform. And it’s all capped off with Robert Griffin III’s signature on the tongue.
