Synek: Beer On Tap At Home
A good and cold draft beer in the comfort of your own home isn’t an impossible fantasy, provided you don’t mind dealing with growlers, kegerators, and whatnot. But for a simpler and more mature solution, there’s Synek, a home draft system that works along different lines than either of those two existing methods.
Synek works with any beer, and functions by way of an internal bag that you fill with your brew of choice. The contents of the bag are then pressurized and chilled, for a bar-quality draft from the top of your kitchen counter.
At least, that’s the idea, if the Synek home draft system hits its fundraising goal on Kickstarter. As I write this, it’s got about $175,000 to go, so if you want to get in on the ground floor you can check out the product’s Kickstarter page here, where a $299 pledge gets you a machine on pre-order.
