Casio Releases ‘Gundam’ 35th Anniversary G-Shock GD-100
The Gundam franchise has been around for 35 years now, and still going strong in some circles. The people at the G-Shock wing of Casio HQ must be one of them, since they’re putting out an officially licensed 35th anniversary Gundam GD-100 digital watch.
I was never a Gundam watcher (we were a Thundercats household), so some of the Gundam-referencing visual touches on this special edition GD-100 are probably lost on me. But even I can appreciate the watch’s striking white case and cool Gundam logo on the face. As far as I know, it doesn’t shoot lasers or let you communicate with any giant robot suit commanders, but you never know.
The 35th anniversary Gundam x Casio G-Shock GD-100 will be a hot market item in Japan, where Gundam media is far more popular than it is in North America. But anybody with a decent web translator can head here to pre-order one of these watches now.
